We use this way when we need 2 describe two persons or two things that have the same level of adjectives(strength, beauty,color...)

ex. Ali is as tall as Ahmed

Fatima is as beautiful as her sister .

ex3. I think that tennis is as exciting as football

** this way is used to compare two things or two persons that have some differences in(strength, beauty,color

Ex.ISSA is taller than Ali

ex2. The plane is quicker than the train

we can't apply this grammar with some words like(good,bad)**

so we have to change them to

good-------better

bad--------worse

ex1. I think that coffee is better than tea

ex2. In my opinion cigarettes are worse than alcohol

This way depends on the syllables of the words

for examples:

big , small , nice ,tall

they have one syllables))

pretty (pre-tty) ; tidy (ti-dy)

(they have two syllables)

some words have three and four syllables like:
