We use this way when we need 2 describe two persons or two things that have the same level of adjectives(strength, beauty,color...)
ex. Ali is as tall as Ahmed
Fatima is as beautiful as her sister .

Ex.ISSA is taller than Ali

we can't apply this grammar with some words like(good,bad)**
so we have to change them to
good-------better
bad--------worse
ex1. I think that coffee is better than tea
ex2. In my opinion cigarettes are worse than alcohol

This way depends on the syllables of the words
for examples:
big , small , nice ,tall
they have one syllables))
pretty (pre-tty) ; tidy (ti-dy)
(they have two syllables)
some words have three and four syllables like:
